Okay so Friday Fun this week combines toys and technology with the world’s smallest mass produced bi-pedal humanoid robot! This is one cool toy and reminds me of my childhood spent building radio sets, lego robots, small electronic sets and eventually my first PC.

Top Tech Kids Toys - Christmas 2008

October 17, 2008 by Andrew Watson · Leave a Comment

With Christmas fast approching, it looks like my posts on toys are gaining momentum… or at least quantity. Although Lego looks like the big wish on my kids toy list, it is interesting to see which toys are predicted to be top sellers in Christmas 2008.

Toy Retailers Association has defined the top toys this year in a number of different categories - top girls toys, top boys toys, top pre-school toys etc. One such category is that of TechZone toys for Christmas 2008… and I am pleased to see a 2008 favourite toy of mine - Guitar RockStar - a top 12 techzone toy for Christmas 2008.

Guitar RockStar - Top 12 Tech Toys Christmas 2008

The full list of 12 toys is:

  • Bladestar from Character Options
  • Catcha Beast! from Bandai
  • Guitar RockStar from Tomy
  • Hannah Montana My Secret Pillow by Character Options
  • High School Musical 3 Musical Dance Mat by Vivid Imaginations
  • IM-ME by Mattel
  • iTeddy by Vivid Imaginations

Following from my visit to the Microsoft Popfly website earlier this month, and the ease at which I was able to tap into the Facebook api… I thought I would see what quick and aimless game could be created for a little Friday fun.

VTech Kidizoom Review

As camera’s have moved from film to digital, concern about taking a poor picture is a thing of the past. So much so that I have found I past my digital camera to my young child and let him snap away… a simple delete and the poor pictures are removed.

The VTech Kidizoom provides the perfect next stage… my child’s own camera!

Kristina the Mountain Goat

Kristina the Mountain Goat

This is a little friday fun for a colleague at work.

To try and get a further understanding of search engine optimisation, she asked if it was possible to optimise a page to appear highly in the search engines for any phrase?

So what phrase did she want me to try… Kristina the Mountain Goat… apparently due to her hill climbing abilities.

Having Fun !!!

It has been a while since I last left a blog entry… and part of that has been because I have been so busy. The other reason has been because I was searching for my blog to be something different. What do I mean - well, I was trying to make my blog focussed like http://queenofsky.journalspace.com/ - which I am glad to see is still running strongly… P.S. if you have a blog then please let me know and I’ll add a link to it (provided it is not too intense)… but in trying to make my blog too focussed, I ended up trying to hard and finding it too much of a burden. So it is a new year… what is install ?

1. Well maybe not number 1… but I want to take control of my blog and just add what I like - when I like… the good, the bad and the ugly !!! It is about ME… thats what makes it unique… I have been doing this on and off for about 18 months… and so far it is all fairly boring… can’t promise it’ll suddenly become exciting, but I want it to be about me… there maybe some boring stuff… but on the whole I lead a fairly unique life… I have travelled much of the world, dated a great number of young ladies, been married and divorced, set up businesses, run a dot.com, bought and sold land, had a little baby boy… all by the age of 30… and you know what - I have thoroughly enjoyed ever minute of it… good and bad… so here is too life… happy new year to you all - may you all love life and have a happy 2007!!!

2. Keep smiling… as Robin Williams once said ‘We are all born with a little madness, the key is to hang on to it’
