New Twitter Home Page

New Twitter Home Page

Posted on 29. Jul, 2009 by Andrew Watson in Social Networking

Twitter has updated the home page with an all new look and much anticipated search box allowing visitors to quickly and easily search topics and other users. The interface is clean and uncluttered with a list of popular topic links, by minute, day and week. Using the links or the search returns a nice clean interface of results.

This update shows the site maturing and developing from being a site ‘about updating friends’ to a site for ‘global news and events’, and Twitter have updated their tag line accordingly with “Share and discover what’s happening right now, anywhere in the world”.

It is a shame that so far the design changes have only been applied to the home page with the registration page, admin and setting sections now looking somewhat tired and dated.
