Awe.sm – automating Google Analytics

Those that know me, will be aware of my fondness of the word ’awesome’… it is a word that really gets across the magnitude of something you are describing… ‘it was an awesome result’… ‘it was an awesome night’… ‘it was an awesome adventure’… none of those phrases describes something mediocre… and that is exactly how I feel about a new online URL shortening service I came across recently – funnily enough called ‘awe.sm‘.

Bing search – Google killer ?

Ok so the title of this post is a little predictable. Microsoft launches a new search engine and suddenly everyone asks if it is the one to knock Google down in size.

However, one thing I have noticed differently this time round is that people have actually heard of the “Bing search engine” from Microsoft – and that is quite surprising. I am all too often left with blank faces when I talk about new technology or new websites as people glaze over and ask for a pillow.

Generally a tag or word cloud is a visual representation of user-generated tags. They provide visitors to the website with an additional path to navigate the website, and search engines an additional route to use when indexing pages.

 Okay so Friday Fun this week combines toys and technology with the world’s smallest mass produced bi-pedal humanoid robot! This is one cool toy and reminds me of my childhood spent building radio sets, lego robots, small electronic sets and eventually my first PC.

H.M. Armed Forces – Toy of 2009 ?

HM Armed Forces toys – ah these toys bring back great memories !!! Memories for me and loads of good old fashioned fun for my young son. He loves them. So far we have the HM Armed Forces Fast Jet Pilot, an HM Armed Forces Commando and of course a classic HM Armed Forces Infantryman.
